Parents may register their children in the office from 7:15-3:00. Preston Park Elementary serves children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Children entering kindergarten must be five years old by September 30. If you need more information, please call the office at 853-2996. We welcome you to our school family!
What you need for registration:
- Child's birth certificate: If you do not have a birth certificate, you may fill out an application for a birth certificate at the office. The cost of a birth certificate is $12.00. If you are waiting for a birth certificate from the Department of Health, you may still come in to fill out registration forms. When it arrives, you can bring it to the office so it can be recorded. A birth certificate or application affidavit is required before children can start school. The school does not keep the original certificate.
- Proof of residence/address: A mortgage statement, lease, or utility bill are proofs of residence.
- Photo identification of parent.
- Current physical and shot record. Students entering kindergarten MUST have a physical within one year of school entry. A form is available in the office. It is important to make your appointment as soon as possible to be ready for the start of school. If your child attended preschool in RCPS, they still need a physical completed within one year of KINDERGARTEN entry date.
